As part of the agreement with the Departmental Directorate of Employment, Labor and Solidarity for the Operational Program Budget (BOP) 104 aimed at supporting integration actions for the benefit of newly arrived foreigners from the Bouches-department du-Rhône, the Alliance Française offers free French courses for:
· For new arrivals (foreigners (i.e. nationals of third countries to the European Union), who have held a residence permit issued for family immigration for less than 5 years,
professional immigration or international protection, intended to remain
permanently on French territory).
· Beneficiaries ofInternational Protection (BPI) if they obtained the status less than 5 years ago. These are foreign nationals who have been recognized by the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons (OFPRA) or the National Court of Asylum (CNDA) as refugees, stateless persons or benefit from
subsidiary protection.
Other foreign nationals, in particular foreign students, asylum seekers, unaccompanied minors and illegal aliens, are not considered new arrivals and are therefore not
eligible for actions financed under BOP 104.
These courses are part of a professional integration approach because the courses taught are French as a Foreign Language and French with a professional aim to help
learners in their job search.
These free French courses for learners are financed by the State. They do not entitle you to remuneration.
The courses started on September 18, 2023, they take place in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille and are reserved for levels A2 and B1. They are 6 hours face-to-face plus 3 hours of interactive modules per week.
The training is a diploma because learners will take the official French language exam of DELF A2 or DELF B1 at the end of the latter.
